Case of Tuberculosis at Stratford High School

The Department of Health and Environmental Control ( DHEC) has informed me that today a case of Tuberculosis (TB) has been confirmed at Stratford High School.  DHEC has identified approximately 150 students who may have been associated with the infected student.  These students and their parents have been notified and provided a form to get a TB test.

All Stratford HS students and parents have been alerted electronically.  Doctors in the area have been alerted by DHEC to be suspicious of any prolonged upper respiratory problems.

According to DHEC the Supt. of Schools, School Board and Administrators are being proactive and have acted in an expeditious manner.
